Aloha RAGBRAI XXXV riders!

On behalf of the residents of Laurens, I welcome you to “Lei over in Laurens”. We look forward to being your Monday midway stop between Spencer and Humboldt on the 23rd and are furiously making preparations for a great time.

Be sure to join us for fun, festive activities such as worshiping the "bike god" at the flaming volcano, taking up some hula lessons, or winning in one of our festive contests for the day!

Your arrival will cap off a long weekend of partying that begins on Friday evening at the opening ceremonies with food and fireworks to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the founding of Laurens! This year also marks the 30th anniversary of Laurens as a RAGBRAI overnight stop.

We invite you to stop on your way to the starting point of RAGBRAI to enjoy some pre-ride fun on Friday and Saturday. All of us in Laurens look forward to meeting and greeting many of you. I’ll be the one in the red and white Hawaiian shirt at the base of the volcano where we will pay homage to the bicycle gods for your safe travels.
